Michelle A. Beauchesne
Michelle A. Beauchesne is an expert clinician, scholar, educator, and experienced speaker who has presented around the globe. Her achievements are recognized by many accolades and fellowships, including past President of three national professional nursing organizations and remaining on the national and international boards of several others.
After 30 years, Michelle retired as Professor Emeritus at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. During her time there, she developed and led several graduate programs, including the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) Specialization and the dual Primary Care and Acute Care Pediatric NP Program, first of its kind in the nation. Most recently, Michelle was the Director of the Post Masters Doctor in Nursing Practice (DNP) online hybrid program. She is a respected leader in advanced practice nursing education with a focus on competency-based education and online learning.
Through her many years of mentoring countless nurses, both students and colleagues, Michelle has become known for not only her positive approach, but also for providing successful references, recommendations, and nominations. As she regularly received requests for career development advice from respected colleagues and alumna, Michelle found it was time to combine her skills and expertise to formally develop her own consultation practice.
Today, Michelle maintains an active practice as a curricular development and online education consultant to schools and child development centers regionally, nationally, and internationally. Areas of focus include education, practice, policy, and leadership. Through her assessments, she emphasizes strengths while identifying areas to improve and provides mentees with the necessary tools and guidance to grow successfully.
